Chapter 116

• Ethan's Point of View
• I hated that I had to leave Sofia early in the morning. I was sure she would be upset that I left without waking her up and saying goodbye, but I knew she needed the extra sleep, especially after everything that had happened the day before. I still felt guilty that she was so exhausted. I should have waited to have sex with her. I honestly didn't want her to go to school but I knew there was no way she would miss a day of school, especially when she knew there was going to be a big test. The main reason I didn't want her to go to school was because of King Lestat. I had a bad feeling about him. I knew he had a thing for her and I had a feeling he would try something if he had the chance. I trusted Sofia. I knew she wanted to be with me only, but I wasn't sure King Lestat would take no for an answer. I had a feeling he would do anything to get her, even if it meant taking her against her will.
• I talked to my dad about all of this after King Lestat showed up at Sofia's mom's house the day Sof went over there. I wanted my father to kick him off of our territory and stop him from teaching at the school but my dad wouldn't do it. He told me that there was no proof that King Lestat was after Sofia and that if he kicked him and all the other vampires out of the pack, it could cause a war. Even though I didn't like it I understood what my father was saying. They were trying to make it where Vampires and werewolves got along, so I would have to deal with him, but I was going to make sure I kept an eye on him.
