Chapter 1 Let's File For Divorce
- It was pouring rain on a cold October night. Evelyn Shelton was standing without an umbrella in front of the gate to Hill Villa. She seemed unaware that her clothes were soaked. She removed her coat and encircled the present in her arms with it. Her first anniversary of marriage to Jerry Graves was today. She had purchased a gift for her husband without telling him, even though she was meant to be visiting her parents' place today. It caught me off guard. Her clothes were drenched by the time she made it to the door. She saw a pair of high-heeled women's shoes on the floor as she was putting off her shoes. That was not Evelyn's shoe, and she knew it very well. Her heart seemed to have stopped beating.
- She placed her belongings on the floor with care and moved carefully upstairs to the master bedroom. The conversation grew clearer the closer she got. Jerry, Évelyn's spouse, was seen with another woman. By listening to their noises of ecstasy, she could picture exactly what was happening, even though she couldn't see what was going on inside. "Who's better, Evelyn or me?" Evelyn felt her gut tense at the woman's question. She felt like throwing up. She was heartbroken to hear the response that followed. "Are you serious? I'm not even interested in touching her."
- The worst thing is that her spouse didn't tell lies. Since they were married more than a year ago, Jerry has never touched her. He stated that he was experiencing "performance issues." Her spouse was now, however, having an affair with someone else. She was speechless the instant she walked in the door and saw her best friend, Maura, in bed with her husband. Stella. Their friendship dates back to high school. She never imagined that Maura would turn on her in such a manner one day. Clearly, the two in bed were surprised by Evelyn's early return. Jerry instantly recovered his composure.
- "Leave!" .. Leave now? Although Evelyn had never had a short fuse, she was now unable to control her rage. Casting a sidelong glance, she took up the uncool kettle from the table and doused them in water. copyright popular novel pub "You two are repulsive!" When Maura screamed in fear, Jerry grabbed her and held her tight! It's time for Evelyn to wake up and smell the coffee. You are not wanted by Jerry. Maura experienced no shame at all. "Huh!" scoffed Evelyn. "Maura, should I thank you now? For years, I was your friend, and this is how you paid me back? Are you fond of robbing women of their husbands? Jerry gave her a quick glance and remarked, "You ought to go." "Don't worry, I'm not going to stay here."
- Even merely glancing at them made Evelyn nauseous. Jerry, you're going to tell your mom about this. I'll stop keeping your secrets a secret! It was their first year of marriage. She thus covered up his "performance issues" when his mother questioned him about why they hadn't had a child. Instead, she was placed at fault. She was very foolish. Jerry was unfazed by her warning. Evelyn had believed her love for him would never die years ago. But the next thing she said took Jerry by surprise. "Let's part ways." The vehicle went by a posh club. Evelyn motioned for the driver to stop as she took in the array of opulent vehicles in front of her. She paid the fee, got off, and entered the club right away. As if on her way out of Hill Villa, Evelyn got into a taxi.
- She appeared to have nowhere else to go as she drove aimlessly along the street. "Miss? Where are you heading? Curiously, the motorist looked at her in his rearview mirror. She didn't give a damn about the expensive vintage whiskey she ordered at the bar. It burned her throat because it was so spicy. She felt as though it had all been a farce as scenes from that year ran through her head. She sipped from one glass to the next, gradually losing track. She stumbled into the bathroom as she suddenly had to urinate. When she went outside after finishing, she noticed a group of tall, robust males dressed in black suits. "You're very handsome," she muttered as she slithered closer to one of them.
- A club manager at one side immediately stepped up to pull her away. When he saw her in fancy clothes, his countenance softened. "Madam, I apologize. This security officer is here. I can suggest a lot of other attractive males who are present. Evelyn was inebriated. She was used to putting up with and following Jerry. She enjoyed the thrill of getting even now. Why was she not allowed to spend the night with another man if he was having an affair? "All right, I'd like the most attractive and wealthy guy here!" The manager became quite excited. He led her right up to the VIP section. "I'll give someone a call straight away!" Evelyn sat by herself on the couch.
- She saw things in double since she was inebriated and lightheaded. She was in a trance when she noticed the door of the private room across from her open and a tall man emerge. She followed his broad shoulders, slim waist, and straight, long legs. His body was flawless, and every inch of his chiseled face was gorgeous. His most remarkable feature was his deep-set, black eyes. Evelyn smiled and stood up, stumbling a little. She took hold of the man's arm. "Not too bad..." Huston Lloyd scowled as he looked at the woman who had abruptly seized him. "Give me up." "How are you able to speak with me in that manner? Your boss told you I'm paying for you, didn't she? Here! "I'll give it twice!" She stood on tiptoes to get close to him while giggling. "Let me tell you, you're very fortunate. Tonight, you will be my first.
