• Once Ethan was gone, Kylie closed her door, locked it, and put on the dress that he'd had bought for her night at the Oscars. It was as she'd initially been thought, a design of Rainer, flawless in every way – There was even a scent to it, like lilacs and sweet peas. Seeing what effort Ethan had gone to in order to make her night perfect, she decided to let go of her animosity. She was annoyed by the fact that he ignored her, but he still exerts some effort by pampering her often by rewarding her with so many things.
• Kylie opened the bedroom door and called Ethan's name. "Ethan," she shouted. "I've put the dress on. Come at it, look. It is splendid. Thank you so much!"
