• Vicktor stood over Amanda, his eyes blazing with a mixture of fury and something deeper, something darker. The anger that had been simmering inside him since he found her at the train station was now boiling over, and he could no longer keep it in check. The sight of her, crumpled on the ground with tears streaming down her face, only fueled the fire burning within him.
