• Vicktor stormed out of the club, his heart pounding with rage and humiliation. The cool night air did little to soothe the fire burning inside him. As he walked down the empty street, his thoughts raced, replaying the events of the evening over and over in his mind. Amanda’s defiance, the way she had danced with such abandon, and the way Henry Stark had stepped in, humiliating him in front of everyone—it was all too much to bear.
