Chapter 110 Loud Laugh
- Amanda couldn’t stop trembling as she stood outside Vicktor’s office. The sharp, muffled giggles and hushed whispers of women drifted down the hall, making her stomach churn. She knew she shouldn’t be here, knew she shouldn’t care. But some small part of her—a part she hated—still held on to the hope that Vicktor would remember her, that something, anything, would bring the man she loved back to her.
- The sound of a loud laugh echoed down the hallway, snapping her out of her thoughts. It was Vicktor’s voice, but it was different now—cold, detached, almost mocking. It wasn’t the warm, protective tone she had fallen in love with. Her heart sank as she realized he was enjoying himself, entertaining whoever was in there with him.
- Her hand hovered over the door handle, hesitating. Maybe she should turn around. Maybe she didn’t need to know what was happening behind that closed door. But the faint squeals of excitement, the rustle of movement, and the unmistakable sound of a woman’s moan froze her in place.
