Chapter 25

• Lena woke up at dawn and realized that Edgar was not in bed beside her. The sheets where he had laid the night before were cold and rumpled. She sat up and rubbed her fingers over her eyes.
• She had actually done it. She had slept with her boss.
• She should be mortified, but she couldn't find it in her bones to be anywhere near mortified. They had had sex only once last night, and she had had the most intense orgasm she ever had in her life. Her body still tingled. She smiled as she remembered how she had always thought it was weird that she barely ever got any satisfaction from having sex with past boyfriends. She had chalked it up to always being tired from over working, but last night with Edgar had proved otherwise.
