Chapter 13

• Ace watched from the bookstore across the street as Edgar walked out of the double glass doors of the hospital and made his way to the lot to a sleek black sedan. He was a strong, powerful man with an equally commanding stride. He had such a powerful presence that Ace shuddered at the thought of having to stand in the same room with him.
• No doubt if they were to fight Edgar would easily pick him up by his collar and bash his head in with just a swing of his hand. He would expect nothing less of the Drakai Protector.
• He watched the car drive out of the lot and at the same time another car, this time a jeep containing four men drove in. They were Drakai and they entered the hospital.
