Chapter 7

  • In the following days, Donald visited Yves every night. Sometimes, he ordered food to have dinner there in the apartment, other times he took her to known places of his preference, where he even introduced her as his girlfriend...
  • - Your girlfriend? - she questioned at that moment, whispering in his ear, to which he just smiled and kissed her in front of everyone present.
  • One month later
  • Just the night before the next Board of Directors meeting, Donald invited Yves to dinner. He also sent her the dress she wanted to wear that night to the apartment, along with high-heeled sandals and a matching bag, all in the same golden color.
  • That night for her was like a Cinderella story. Once at the restaurant, Donald ordered a bottle of champagne, which he uncorked and poured into two glasses, taking out a small box from one of his pockets.
  • - My love, will you marry me? - he asked, with a very manly but tender and seductive voice.
  • - Donald, is this... is this for real...? - she asked, incredulous, with a trembling but sweet voice.
  • - Yes, Yves! It's for real. Why do you doubt it? - he asked, with a hoarse and deep voice.
  • - It's just that... between you and me, there's so much distance, especially socially - she responded, still amazed.
  • - And are you going to let that separate us? - he inquired, looking at her intently.
  • - Of course not! But you surprised me - she replied, looking at the ring he was showing.
  • - So, what's your answer? - he asked again.
  • - Yes, yes, I want to marry you!
  • Donald stood up from his chair, excited and happy. So, kneeling in front of her, he placed the ring on the ring finger of her left hand, then taking possession of her lips and mouth with a passionate kiss that left her breathless.
  • Afterwards, he sat down and handed her the champagne glass for a toast. She clarified that she didn't like alcohol, that she would only taste it, like the first time they had dinner together.
  • - Do it just for me - he pleaded - Let's toast to our love - he announced, clinking his glass with hers, and she complied.
  • Yves could only think and remember that this was her mother's dream. Ever since she met Donald, she wished for him to fall in love with her, and that's exactly what happened. Therefore, she will be the happiest person with this commitment, obviously, after herself.
  • "Am I dreaming?" Yves thought, still unable to believe it.
  • After dinner, Donald took her dancing, enjoying her company very much. Before dropping Yves off at the apartment, he asked her to accompany him the next day to the Board of Directors meeting of the Company, to introduce her as his fiancée and future wife...
  • This news left her speechless and amazed, as the most presentable clothes she had were the ones she was wearing and the ones she wore the first time she went out with him. With either of them, she couldn't wear a bra, so she would go without underwear, on the top part.
  • The next morning, Donald had breakfast with her and explained her role in this meeting. He also warned her that everyone wanted to know where she comes from? Who are her ancestors? What does she do? And everything related to her.
  • "Do you think I might have any problems because of my origins?" she questioned, uneasy.
  • "Don't worry, my love! It could be possible! But it's not certain. Just know that everyone, including my sisters, lives off status and social classes, something that is irrelevant to me and you already know that," he clarified, gently kissing her lips.
  • "Yes, I know," she replied with a strong jolt in her stomach, especially on the left side, despite the kiss and hug he gave her...
