Chapter 4 Emotions And Feelings

  • Donald and Yves had breakfast peacefully. When they finished, she asked if she could take the leftovers for her mom and her friend. He declined, but instead ordered two takeout meals, which she gratefully appreciated.
  • "No, I know I did something so good to meet you. Thank you! For your great kindness and your noble heart," she exclaimed, feeling embarrassed.
  • Once he placed the order, he sat in front of his desk, next to her, holding her hands and asked:
  • "Do you want to work with me?"
  • "Oh my God! Of course!" she responded, astonished, admiring him and not taking her eyes off him...
  • After accepting Donald's proposal, Yves begged him to wait for her while her mom was discharged from the hospital. She would join him in whatever work he desired immediately. In response to this, Donald wanted to know more and asked:
  • "Do you have a father? Siblings?"
  • "No," she categorically replied. "I never knew my father. So when my mother leaves, I'll be alone. But as you told me yesterday, only what God wants for me will happen."
  • "In any case, I'm sure God will never abandon me," she affirmed, clasping her hands together at the level of her lips.
  • "That's right," he responded, taking her hands and kissing them. "Well, let's wait for your mom to recover so you can start working. Which hospital is she in?" he asked, lost in thought.
  • "At the Central Hospital, it's close to where we live," she answered, looking at him intently in the eyes, trying to decipher why he wanted to help her.
  • "Then let's go! I want to meet her and see how I can help," he exclaimed, as he walked out of his office with her.
  • Donald spoke to his assistant, canceled the morning meetings, and announced that he would return after lunch. He brought the food trays for her mom and her friend. Finally, they went down in the private elevator exclusively for his use.
  • His personal assistant and secretaries were amazed. He didn't resemble his brother at all, especially in character, as his brother was arrogant, haughty, and sometimes cruel to his employees, the complete opposite of Donald. But both had a reputation for being womanizers.
  • In terms of their physical appearance, they looked like twins with only slight age differences, as both were handsome, attractive, tall, athletic, intelligent, and billionaires, considered kings of the real estate, construction, and technological investment industries.
  • As they left the Tower, they left a wave of rumors that quickly reached the ears of their sisters, who were intrigued to know where their brother had met this young woman. Apparently, she didn't belong to their social circle.
  • From that day on, he started helping Yves and her mom. Although Mrs. Ivy was in her final days, he would ensure that they lived comfortably and peacefully.
  • So she contacted the Director of the Foundation, so that she could personally help them and, above all, so that Yves would not find out that all the help was coming directly from him, so that they would not reject it.
  • The first thing they did was to move them out of the place where they were living and transfer them to one of his own apartments, located near the Evans Tower, so that it wouldn't be far from Yves' workplace.
  • For her part, she didn't want to accept any more help from him, but through the Foundation, she received it. She would work hours for the Institution in exchange for the services her mother would receive. In this sense, her mother's room was prepared to receive everything she needed.
  • In addition, they provided them with food, medicine, clothes, shoes, among other things. In addition to this, Yves was provided with all the technological equipment he needed to provide services, without neglecting his mother.
  • Mrs. Ivy was extremely grateful to Donald for all the help he had provided. She also had the hope that he would fall in love with her daughter, so that she could leave peacefully, knowing that she would be protected. He was a good man, responsible and very humble... a true guardian angel.
