Chapter 3 Thirsty For Revenge

  • Once he asked her that question, the tears she had been withholding right from when she left Xavier's house started streaming down freely on her cheeks, three years ago her uncle had strictly forbidden her from getting married to Xavier, warning her that he was going to shatter her tender heart, he had great plans for her after she finishes university but being blinded by her love for Xavier she left the house and proceeded with the marriage. She was surprised that with all the power and connections he had, he didn't do anything to prevent the marriage from taking place, probably he knew that the marriage wasn't going to last long and just as predicted it didn't last long and he also shattered her heart just as he predicted too.
  • As a girl he single-handedly raised right from childhood, he could tell how hurt she was from the way he was crying; he could clearly see the pain and agony written all over her face. No matter how angry he was at her, he could never bring himself to watch her sobbing bitterly and not do anything about it.
  • Standing up from the couch where he was sitting, he rushed towards her and hugged her tightly, allowing her to pour her tears filled with sorrow and anguish on his shoulder.
  • "Go on, cry it out," he said to her even though he didn't know what was wrong with her, and with that, Sarah sobbed more bitterly, wetting his shirt with her tears.
  • "I'm so sorry, dad. I should have listened to you; I shouldn't have disobeyed you," Sarah said to him while sobbing bitterly.
  • Due to the bond that existed between the two of them, Sarah grew up calling him dad; no one ever knew that he was her uncle except for those very close to them.
  • He had planned to hand over to her one of his companies in England after high school, but once she finished high school, she left the house without his consent and got married to Xavier.
  • After she had calmed down, he asked one of the maids to take her luggage to her room, and afterwards he went to the kitchen and prepared a cup of coffee for her.
  • "Thank you," he said to her after taking the cup of coffee he was giving her.
  • "It's good having you back again," he said to her before taking a sip of her coffee, but she only nodded without replying.
  • "So do you mind telling me what happened? As far as I know, marriage is always a question of endurance; there's no marital problem that doesn't have a solution," he said to her.
  • "Well, we would have talked about marital problems if the both of us were really married," she said, and immediately he furrowed his brows at her.
  • "What do you mean by if the both of you were really married?" He asked her while peering into my eyeballs.
  • With that, she started explaining everything to him, including how Xavier faked their marriage, unknowingly turned her into a breeder who would bear a son for him so that he could be able to inherit his father's properties.
  • She could clearly see the anger burning in her uncle's eyes after she had explained it to him.
  • "You mean that bastard took your baby you carried in your womb for nine months?" His uncle asked her, his voice raising in anger, but she remained silent while avoiding his gaze.
  • "How dare he? Did you even tell him from which family you came from?" He asked her, but she remained silent, knowing that she had hidden her real identity from him right from the beginning.
  • "I guess the answer is no; you didn't tell him; if you had told him from which family you came from, he wouldn't have tried messing with you; I swear through God I'm going to ruin him and that wife of his; I'm going to make his life miserable," her uncle threatened angrily.
  • Knowing the kind of person he was, Sarah knew her uncle was capable of doing everything he said, but she wasn't going to allow him to do it; this was her war, and she was the one going to fight it. If someone was going to make Xavier's life miserable, it was her and no one else.
  • Once her uncle finished ranting, he immediately took his phone and was about to place a call, but she immediately stopped him.
  • "Please, father, calm down," she said to him in a pleading manner.
  • "What do you mean by I should calm down? Don't tell me that you are still in love with that bastard." Her uncle asked her with an inquisitive look.
  • "No, father, I don't have any single affection for him," she said to her uncle.
  • "Then why are you trying to stop me from taking care of him?" He asked her.
  • "Because I want to be the one to do it," she said to her uncle, and immediately he furrowed his brows at her.
  • "You heard me right, father; I want to be the one to take care of him," she repeated her statement, her voice firm and determined.
  • "Are you sure about that?" Her uncle asked her before sitting down beside her.
  • "Yes, uncle," she said to him firmly.
  • "What about your child? Are you going to leave him with that bastard?" He asked her.
  • "Yes, uncle, let the baby stay with him in the meantime; it's his child after all, so he would surely take care of him, and I can't also concentrate on executing my revenge on him with the baby by my side," she said to her uncle, and he sighed heavily.
  • "You know I love you so much, and I will always support every decision of yours, as long as it doesn't bring harm to you. So tell me, is there any way I can help?" He asked her.
  • "Yes, dad, there's only one way you could help me," she said to him.
  • "And what is it?" He asked her.
  • "I want to take over the company you had reserved for me—I mean, the one in England," he said to her.
  • "The company has always been yours; you can take over whenever you want," he said to her.
  • "Thank you so much, dad. I will be leaving for England tomorrow. The sooner I leave, the sooner I will return to execute judgment on those who have hurt me and also to take back what is mine," sh
  • e said to her uncle with a firm and determined tone.
  • To Be Continued.
