- Scott was as cold as ice when Alejandra took his hand, his gaze lost on the white sheet that covered him. He knew perfectly well what it was like to be betrayed by someone he trusted, but in Scott's case, it was even worse because Alejandra knew that Daniel had been his best friend since they were children.
