Chapter 82

The car slowed gently when they got to the traffic junction. Teresa, Rose, and Hector we're the only ones in the car. Susan had left earlier to check things at her cousin's place, she had asked Hector not to involve the police as Rapheal had instructed but Hector told her that he couldn't go with Raphael's Verdicts. Even if Teresa wasn't Maria's real parent, she could still feel the anxiety in her chest of Maria not being with them for a few days now.
She knew she and Maria were never on good terms but she cared for Maria like she would care for her own children in the future. Teresa turned in her seat before giving Rose a small smile, the girl seemed to be tired, and Teresa knew that she was also bothered about her elder sister's whereabouts. They drove in silence till they were finally home, Hector felt strange about everything that had happened in just a few days.
Teresa was the first to unlock her door before opening Rose's door. Camilla and Anabel came out to help them with their luggage, by their looks Teresa knew that they had questions to ask but she told them to take Rose inside.
