Chapter 77
- The gallop in the roads inflicted pain on Maria as she kept bumping her head hard on the back seat where her hands and mouth were being tied by a rope. She endeavored to catch a glimpse at her environment and couldn't detect where she was being taken to or who was driving. Her thoughts were cut short when the person tried reaching out to someone on the phone.
- Maria held her breath tightly not to make a sound. “I have good news for you, Vivian,” the man let out to the other person on the line. “It better be good enough,” Vivian's voice came out on the loudspeaker making Maria's eyes bulge. Was the person on the other phone the same person she knew? She kept calm to listen to the rest of the call but it was cut shorter than she expected.
- The man whirled his head back to notice that Maria was still out. At least that was what he believed. He turned his head back to the road in satisfaction as he kept whistling to Himself. Maria lit her eyes back open as she thought of what to do to get out of the car and maybe ask for help somewhere.
