Chapter 41 Homecoming

• “We should stay in the hospital for the night at least” Aviva whines for the one hundredth time. Mr. Helion was currently driving the five of us; I, Aviva, Kamiko, Alder, including himself home in his car, they were all against Alder and I being discharged but I hated the smell and couldn’t help but think Dakari and his crazy doctor might show up. It was suffocating and my bed at the Omari’s was softer amyway.
• “I’m alright Viv, stop fussing, I expected this from Kamiko” I warn her. She was scared, we watched Fayette disappear from our eyes even if we didn’t see them put the bullet in her head, we watch her lifeless body, I saw Carwyn shoot June in the head and not bother to pick her body up, in the short period, I think it’s up to a month now that I’ve been awake I’ve watched four people die, when Aviva saw me on the hospital bed she released a huge breath, I hate to be the reason for her fears but I was glad it was me, I couldn’t imagine how much chaos it would have caused if it was Kanaan or Valente or any of their family members that was close to the truck, luckily Alder and I are fine and I’m pretty sure Alder prefers working, he looks like he’s angry with himself, he is the head guard for the Omari’s, a truck carrying a bomb was delivered to his bosses house, I’m sure he feels some type of way, he has spoken a single word since we left the hospital.
