Chapter 34 - Confessions
- I didn't have his attention until it was time for dinner. I put on a black dress that hugged my body and barely exceeded my knees in length. It didn't have a neckline, it didn't show much of my shoulders, and it looked completely elegant. I had to change seeing how my suitcases were already packed and with that feeling that this had to end here, under these four walls in just a week.
- Despite everything, I couldn't accept something like that, there was something that honestly prevented me from doing so.
- Fabrizio was nowhere to be found, there was no one else in the mansion, there was only a yellow rose on the kitchen counter that was clearly visible as it stood out against the dark marble. I approached it and smelled it, it really had an exquisite aroma and later I carried it to my chest in an attempt to hold on to something as simple as a flower.
