Munika's hands trembled as she packed her belongings and stuffed them into the bag, her mind racing. It had been more than a week since the incident between Rosana and the Mistress took place. Things weren't supposed to end that way but it did and since then, she had been living in immense fear.
The curtains in the room were drawn and the lights off. She had been like this for days, unable to leave the room, unable to eat or sleep. She was wracked with guilt and fear, her mind racing with thoughts of the terrible thing she had done. Two lives were on the line, and it was all her fault.
She shouldn't have hated her daughter-in-law or thought of ways to send her away. Right from the beginning, she didn't trust her and that didn't change over time. She always thought she had other evil motives and would likely destroy her son in the future. Besides, something had happened in the past and it was hard to trust Rosana or her family.
