• ASPEN VESPER
• The minute Aspen was out of Kailin’s room, she found a corner of the house to hide so that she could carry out the first act of the new plan- an indication that she was truly going to be using Kailin’s position to free herself from the shackles of those that have been deceiving her.
• With her back firmly pressed against the wall, Aspen brought out the small dagger Kailin had handed to her before she left his room. After dangling the blade of the weapon in front of her, she quickly debated which part of her skin would have to bleed, and when she settled on a section just around her lower abdomen, Aspen positioned the knife on the selected spot.
