Chapter 49

• Sleeping late was a rare thing for Leena. They lingered over a cozy breakfast and discussed the upcoming gathering, trying to find a way to share a room without offending everyone. They mulled over what they saw the night before, mostly the important parts, and seemed to be of the same opinion the next gathering wasn’t going to be worry-free, and they really didn’t want to linger on it too long.
• When Owen brought her the folder of pages to the story, she almost ran to the couch to read it. “I’m so excited! I’ll be the very first person to read this story. Well, after the people paying you, that is.”
• Owen stood and watched her get comfortable on the couch. She tucked her feet up under her. She looked so cute in his big shirt and didn’t seem to want to get dressed. He could get used to this. “Ah, I was going to go get some work on the next one done. Is that okay?”
