• The dreaded day arrived. The day to attend the "center" which was nothing more than a clinic for disorders like the one I had and some others. My mother told me the day before that the appointment was scheduled for 10:00 am so I took my time after waking up at 6 or earlier. A slow shower didn't help much with my anxiety, I went to the closet without enthusiasm and randomly chose what to wear, high-waisted blue pants, a loose white t-shirt with the inscription N.Y. in huge letters, an open gray sweater, and completely white sneakers.
• In what felt like seconds, we were already at the door of the place and my legs were shaking, my alter ego whispered to me to escape, to rebel against them so I wouldn't become the obese person I used to be. It was hard not to vomit.
