Chapter 69 A Surprise Guest

• Later that night, everyone was leaning back against the grass, oohing and aahing excitedly. Liam was nestled in between Grace and William, She felt something brush her shoulder and she looked over to find William gazing at her and his fingers playing with her hair. He smiled beautifully before looking back up at the sky, his hand still resting on her shoulder.
• Her heart began to beat, and she closed her eyes, delighting in the sensation of his touch, which she wished she could experience in other places. Just the idea of his fingers replacing hers in the shower earlier had her flushing fiercely, and she was happy for the darkness around them.
• The five of them pulled up in front of the house about an hour later. Liam was out cold, so William easily lifted him into his arms while Grace, Elizabeth, and George made their way to the front door. The light from above on the porch cast a shadow, which moved from its sitting position on one of the swings. Grace gasped in surprise when the familiar face appeared in front of her.
