Chapter 404 Avenging For Sebastian

  • Adam flicked his wrist deftly, sidestepping Leander's attempt to intervene, and leveled the gun with deadly precision. His voice, razor-sharp, sliced through the tension. "So, using a gun doesn’t count as serious? Fine, I’ll fire a shot—if you can dodge it, you can thank your lucky stars!" Leander calmly placed his palm over the barrel, a faint smile playing on his lips. "My woman acted recklessly. I'll have her apologize to you and Miss Walker immediately." He turned sharply toward Ashley, his voice laced with icy authority. "That firearm was for protecting yourself, not for causing harm. You're out of line—step forward and apologize now."
  • Relief washed over Ashley as she spotted him. She shook off the bodyguards' grasp and hurried to his side, her voice trembling with emotion. "You came?" Leander's expression darkened as his gaze fell on her bloodied hands. Without hesitation, he swiftly ripped his tie off and began wrapping her wounds. His voice, now cold and cutting, demanded answers. "What happened? Who did this to you?" She hesitated, casting a fleeting look toward Sarah before lowering her voice to a murmur. "It was Sarah!" A sharp, piercing sensation struck Sarah, jolting her to the core and making her flinch instinctively. When she focused her attention, she saw that Leander had already shifted his gaze.
  • It was clear to her—Leander genuinely cared for Ashley. But did he realize the irony? The woman he held dear seemed to have her heart set on another man. Watching him use his costly tie to staunch Ashley’s bleeding, Sarah couldn't help but sneer, her voice frosty. "Go ahead, tighten it more if you want her hand permanently damaged." Leander's gaze snapped back to her, his voice as cold as steel. "What are you trying to say?" Her reply was clinical yet cutting, "The artery and nerves in her hand have been severed. If you continue applying pressure like that, you’ll cause the blood vessels and nerve fibers to contract. It’ll complicate the surgery and make it significantly harder—and she might never regain full function!"
