• Simone felt completely drained yet stress-free the next morning. She didn't care about the talent show, the stupid beauty pageant. It wasn't like she was going home. She didn't need to impress the princes.
• Her every move was being critiqued and monitored. If they wanted a beauty queen, then they were staring at the wrong girl. Simone was in no way made to impress for the vain masses.
• Simone rummaged through her closet trying to find an outfit to wear and spotted something shiny and silky towards the back. She pulled on it and a beautiful royal blue dress with a low cut back fell in her hands. She was never the type to dress up, but the dress made her want to. If people were going to stare at her, they might as well have something worth staring at.
