Chapter 99 Miller Corporation

• Yasmin purposely went to the hospital early to ask Dr. White about her mother’s condition, as she knew he had an operation to perform later in the morning. Dr. White informed that her mother was still under observation, but it was highly likely that she would undergo a second operation within the next few days. He also pointed out that the sequelae from a serious injury six years ago was critical and Clara was very weak.
• Before he rushed to the operating room, Dr. White asked Yasmin out for dinner to further discuss Clara’s condition; Yasmin agreed.
• Knowing she would be rather idle at the hospital because her mother was still unconscious in the ICU where no visitors were allowed, she decided to take the subway to Miller Corporation to tender her resignation.
