Chapter 56

• We said our goodbyes to Vicky and Richard before getting into the car. On the ride back, he, Giovanni, didn't utter a word, not even to me. He kept his focus strictly on the road, staring outside the window without sparing a glance at me, and I didn't bother saying anything to him either. I wanted him to cool down with all the anger he had building up inside him.
• I kept my eyes looking outside the other side of the window as we passed different buildings, waiting to reach home. The car stopped at the front of the mansion, and neither of us said anything. Giovanni's jaws were clenched together, and his hand was moulded into a fist. He looked so freaking hot when he was angry.
