• As Abby looked out the window, she noticed that there was still some time left in the journey. The road became particularly congested as they entered the bustling area. Abby leaned back comfortably in her chair, preparing to take a short nap. Suddenly, she caught a glimpse of Alice's figure out of the corner of her eye. Alice was wearing sunglasses, and if it weren't for the limited-edition clothing she had on, which Abby recognized, Alice would have been unrecognizable. Abby remembered that she had been punished for wearing that same piece of clothing by having to wash all the housekeeper's clothes in the dead of winter.
• Alice entered a slimming beauty company with swift strides and her head bowed in an air of mystery. The traffic light turned green, and the sedan swiftly moved forward. Abby didn't pay much attention to Alice's actions. However, what was originally a half-hour drive ended up taking an hour. By the time Abby returned to Riverbank Court, she had arrived later than the agreed-upon time with Taylor.
• Abby quickly jogged into the hall, hoping that Taylor wouldn't have arrived so early. Unfortunately, it seemed as though her prayers went unanswered. Taylor sat on the sofa, constantly checking the time on his wrist. In that moment, Abby felt the same embarrassment as if she had been caught by the teacher for being late to class. "I-I'm sorry, Dr. Hertz. There was a bit of traffic on the road."
