- What was Dylan supposed to do without her? He would walk into work tomorrow and she wouldn't be waiting to ride the elevator with him. She wouldn't be there wearing one of those short skirts that showed off her legs, just the way he liked. She wouldn't be there to roll her eyes at him and test his patience. She wouldn't be there to blush when he smirked at her after he insinuated something sexual.
- She was gone, they had taken her. He let them take her. He arrived too late. He should've gone up with her. Why didn't he go up with her? He remembered the look in her eyes. She felt something was wrong and pleaded, but he still told her no. And all because it was late? He shuddered again.
