Chapter 15 Awake

• Sophia's POV
• My whole body felt numb. I cannot even lift a finger, as it feels too heavy. I'm so tired. The last thing I remembered was Carter's face, which had failed to keep his usual cold and nonchalant expression. A small reaction from him, huh? Not bad.
• As I slowly opened my eyes, I looked around to see white walls surrounding me. This feels like deja vu, me lying down on a bed after getting attacked. I hoped I wouldn't get used to this, though. Only, I am not at our packhouse but at a medical facility. The school's clinic? No. It is much more wide, and there are some machines connected to my body. The clinic does not have advanced things like this. No way. The Woodhill Hospital? Did I deal that much of a damage? Goddess, I'm so weak. I looked around once again, but there's no one around. Only a smudge of mixed pheromones from my family, Sandra, Noah, and even from the king of suits. I gulped when I smelled Carter's scent.
