Chapter 14 Wild Beast

• Jacob’s POV
• "He's right. You wouldn't understand the mate bond because you rejected our mate! You dumb asshole!" Luke cursed at me. I blocked him awhile ago, but now he has emerged again. It seems like the wolf's bane is making him more grouchy. I just continued to walk, all while listening to Luke's hollers.
• Another hour and a half passed by before I noticed Bailey's scent. I took my time to get to her, and when I arrived, she was eating some freshly caught chicken. I grimaced at the sight of her eating in such a mess. She noticed me and offered me some, but I instantly declined. When she was done, she apologized at the sight of her and told me that she's just hungry because of the wolf's bane that is slowly getting through her head.
