• “Get away from me!” I yelled and tried to back away, but I was already at the wall. If it weren’t for the silver cuffs on my wrists with my arms at the back, I’d already jabbed the hell out of him. My feet were also shackled by the same silver chains meant to limit the distance I could go. I was so weak and drained that even lifting up a finger was a hard task.
• It felt like I spent three days worth of energy just to speak like I used to. The crimson lotus and wolf’s bane are still in my system. But.. I wouldn’t want to give them the satisfaction of seeing my disheartened spirit. Not on my watch!
