Chapter 7 How Powerful Jaziel Truly Was
- At Cloudview Club, Damian was engrossed in drinking his coffee.
- A group of young men and women were kneeling there, trembling with fear, not daring to even breathe.
- Vivian was disheveled, her face clearly marked with a few distinct handprints.
- “Darn it, you even had the nerve to call for help. I swear, you're begging for trouble.”
- A burly man roughly grabbed Vivian's hair, slamming her head against the wall twice.
- Not a single person nearby dared to utter a word.
- “That's enough.” At that moment, Damian spoke up. “It wouldn't be good to harm such a beautiful girl. I am a reasonable man. You've hurt my younger brother, so there must be consequences. You like making phone calls, don't you? Go ahead and make the call. Each man should bring a ransom of a million. As for the ladies, stay and keep me company for the night. I'll pay a million for one night. You're making a fortune here.”
- Upon hearing these words, the women shuddered even more.
- Vivian had already been scared to tears.
- Who was going to come to her rescue?
- Twenty minutes later, the door to the private room swung open.
- The parents of several boys gradually made their way in.
- A tall middle-aged man, one among them, had barely stepped through the door when he let out a hearty laugh.
- “Damian, the younger ones are ignorant and have offended you. As soon as I heard about this, I rushed over to apologize to you.”
- It was Caleb's father, Fabio.
- As a private entrepreneur in the city, he had encountered Damian a few times.
- With a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes, Damian said, “Oh, look who's here. Mr. Zillen, did you bring the one million?”
- The expression on Fabio's face froze.
- “Damian, the kids don't understand. Let me apologize on their behalf and forget about the one million.”
- “Are you kidding me? I want a million and I mean it! Who the hell do you think you are? Anything less, and your son will be missing a part.”
- Fabio was intimidated by Damian's fierce demeanor.
- He offered an apologetic smile. “Damian, isn't a million a bit too much? Could you possibly be a bit more lenient?”
- As he was speaking, the door to the private room was suddenly flung open.
- Everyone stopped talking and turned to look, curious to see whose parents had arrived.
- To their surprise, the one who walked in was a young man dressed in sportswear. It was none other than Jaziel.
- The moment Vivian caught sight of Jaziel, her eyes instantly lit up with joy.
- However, worry quickly followed.
- Though Jaziel had some combat arts skills, there was no way he could afford to mess with Damian.
- When Jaziel walked in, his gaze immediately fell upon Vivian. Seeing that her hair was disheveled, he instantly narrowed his eyes.
- “Vivian, are you all right?”
- Vivian nodded.
- Although her head was throbbing with pain, she dared not utter a word about it.
- “Go now. Leave this to me,” Jaziel said.
- Vivian was still somewhat bewildered when Jaziel seized her arm and pulled her out the door.
- Damian and his companions were left dumbfounded as they watched Jaziel leave. They wondered who this person who had just casually walked away with Vivian was.
- Before Damian could even react, Jaziel, who had just left, returned.
- His gaze swept across the crowd, landing on Sophie who was crouched over there. Remembering that she was his cousin's friend, he said, “You should go too.”
- Sophie quickly stood up.
- She had barely taken two steps when she was abruptly blocked by a burly man who had reacted quickly.
- Jaziel's expression darkened, and he swiftly kicked the burly man in the abdomen.
- The burly man, who stood at a height of one hundred and eighty centimeters, was kicked by Jaziel so forcefully that he crashed into the wall.
- “Go,” Jaziel said.
- “Thank you,” Sophie murmured, then proceeded to head outside.
- At that moment, Damian had fully recovered his senses and was looking at Jaziel.
- “Hey, buddy, which line of work are you in?”
- He had noticed how adeptly Jaziel had acted earlier. Few under his command could match his skill.
- Having navigated society for many years, Damian had naturally developed a discerning eye.
- “It doesn't matter which line of work I'm in. What matters is that you hit my cousin.”
- Damian smirked. “So what if I hit her? I still plan on sleeping with her.”
- He ordered his subordinates, “Go those two girls. Don't let them get away.”
- After he finished speaking, a burly man headed straight for the door.
- The moment the door was opened, he immediately raised his hands and retreated backward.
- A gun was pressed against the burly man's forehead.
- In an instant, the entire private room fell silent.
- Everyone looked on, bewildered, at the sudden appearance of Sean.
- The pitch-black gun was flashing with an icy glimmer.
- Everyone was taken aback.
- Who is he? He's carrying a gun. Is he with Jaziel?
- There was a hint of apprehension visible in Damian's eyes.
- Not just anyone could handle having a gun in hand.
- He was somewhat uncertain about Jaziel's background.
- “You hit my cousin. Don't you think it's time we settled this score?”
- With a grin on his face, Jaziel approached Damian, sizing him up and down.
- Just as Damian was about to speak, a crisp slap landed on his face.
- The slap sent Damian staggering back.
- One of Damian's subordinates, standing nearby, suddenly became frantic and was ready to grab a stool to start a fight.
- “D*mn it, how dare you hit Damian—”
- Bang!
- Accompanied by a dull sound, the burly man now had a bloody hole in his forehead.
- The stool in his hand clattered onto the floor as his body rigidly fell backward.
- “Ah!”
- A sudden shriek of terror echoed throughout the room.
- Everyone was terrified.
- “Shut up!” Jaziel roared.
- The racket these guys were making was truly annoying.
- Suddenly, the shrieking came to an abrupt halt.
- Everyone was so frightened that they covered their mouths.
- The terror in their eyes, however, only seemed to grow more intense.
- At that moment, Sean strode right in, pressing the barrel of his gun against Damian's head.
- The barrel of the gun that had just been fired was still somewhat scorching.
- Damian, a seasoned veteran, was on the verge of collapse. Cold sweat trickled down his forehead.
- It was terrifying.
- If the other party's hand were to shake, his head would explode.
- Swallowing hard, Damian said with a trembling voice, “Um... let's talk this out properly.”
- “Break one of his legs. Teach him a lasting lesson,” Jaziel said coldly.
- Sean lowered the barrel of his gun. With a deafening bang, a spray of blood erupted from his thigh. Damian immediately collapsed onto the ground.
- Jaziel didn't spare Damian a second glance; instead, his attention was directed toward Fabio.
- “Keep an eye on your son. If he dares to show up in front of my cousin again, I'll castrate him.”
- Fabio was so frightened that he nodded repeatedly, not daring to provoke him.
- “All right, everyone get out.”
- Everyone in the room, already scared out of their wits, rushed toward the outside.
- After everyone left, Jaziel casually strolled out of the private room, hands nonchalantly tucked in his pockets.
- Outside the private room, Damian's subordinates were all huddled together, squatting in a line.
- A few men, clad in black, were pointing their guns at them. They were all Sean's men.
- “What do we do with these men?” Sean asked.
- “Break one of their legs as punishment.”
- After speaking, Jaziel strode toward the outside.
- From within the club, a series of intermittent screams echoed out.
- Upon fleeing the club, Caleb and his companions were so frightened by the sound that their legs began to tremble.
- Just moments ago, when they stepped out of the private room and witnessed that scene, they finally understood how powerful Jaziel truly was.
- Not long after leaving the club, Jaziel received a phone call from Vivian.
- “Jaziel, are you okay? I'm home now.”
- “Don't worry. The issue has been resolved.”
- Jaziel hung up the phone and returned to Lakefield Estates.
- The following morning, Jaziel had Sean send him to Susannah's house. He bought some calming supplements for Vivian, who must have been terrified yesterday.
- As soon as he entered, he saw Timothy looking at him with a face full of anger.
- “Jaziel, how exactly have you been looking after Vivian? If Caleb's father hadn't arrived just in time yesterday, the consequence could have been disastrous.”
