Chapter 14 The Terrifying Jaziel

  • Jaziel hailed a taxi and headed straight for the estate in the suburbs.
  • Beside him, Kayla suddenly remembered to ask, “What are we going to do there?”
  • Jaziel's eyes narrowed slightly, his voice carrying a chilling edge as he said, “I'm putting an end to something.”
  • Half an hour later, Jaziel arrived at the estate.
  • The area roughly covered about half a hectare.
  • Even though it was night, the courtyard was still brightly lit.
  • At the entrance of the vermilion-painted grand gate, there stood two colossal stone lions, exuding an air of absolute dominance.
  • At the same time, Jaziel also received a call from Sean, confirming that Billy was indeed inside.
  • Emerging from the darkness, Jaziel made his way straight to the front door. He grabbed the door knocker and rapped on the door a few times.
  • Regrettably, there was hardly any activity inside.
  • At that moment, within the estate, Billy was seated on the couch in the grand hall, his face ashen. A chilling glint flickered in his eyes.
  • Beside him, a burly bald man was present, and a string of Uprian letters was tattooed on his neck.
  • He seethed with anger, saying, “Boss, I can't believe someone would have the audacity to attack you. I'm going to deal with him right away.”
  • The bald man pulled out a gun and slammed it directly onto the coffee table.
  • Behind him, a group of ferocious underlings were making a ruckus.
  • “That's right, Boss! When have we ever been treated like this? We can't embarrass ourselves in Cadrexia.”
  • Billy lit up a cigarette, taking a deep drag. “This guy is quite unusual. David's combat prowess is considered one of the highest among us, yet he couldn't withstand even one of his moves. It seems we may have to resort to firearms. He isn't alone, though. He has an armed group backing him up. To take him down, we need to wait until he's isolated.”
  • “Boss, I'll send someone to investigate right away. Leave this matter to me. I guarantee that within three days, he'll be meeting the Grim Reaper,” the bald man stated.
  • Billy gave a nod. “I naturally believe in your abilities, but don't let your guard down, especially don't get too close. That young man's skills in combat arts are formidable.”
  • The bald man nodded. “Boss, you should rest first. I'll go investigate that young man's background right away.”
  • Meanwhile, Jaziel knocked on the door several times, but there was no response.
  • Jaziel turned to Kayla and instructed, “Find a place to hide first. Things might get a bit bloody later on.”
  • With that, he swiftly kicked at the front door.
  • Jaziel kicked down the towering bronze door, along with its frame.
  • The sound was particularly jarring in the tranquility of the night.
  • The gates came crashing down, stirring up a cloud of dust.
  • Meanwhile, Billy and the others in the building were thoroughly startled.
  • In no time, several figures rushed out.
  • That bald, burly man was taking the lead. He was holding a handgun, aiming directly at Jaziel. “Who are you?”
  • “Where is Billy? Tell him to come out and face his doom.” Unfazed by the gun pointed at him, Jaziel's gaze was instead fixed on the crowd.
  • Finally, Billy got a clear look at Jaziel, the former's eyes revealing a hint of surprise and confusion.
  • He hadn't expected Jaziel to catch up so quickly, and he wondered just how many people Jaziel had brought along this time.
  • “It's you...”
  • As he spoke, the bald man quickly loaded his gun, switched off the safety, and, without hesitation, fired a shot at Jaziel.
  • Bang!
  • The bullet whirled rapidly through the air.
  • However, in the next moment, Jaziel was nowhere to be found.
  • As the bald man was lost in confusion, he was searching for Jaziel's figure.
  • In the next moment, he felt a numbness in his wrist, and the gun he was holding was suddenly nowhere to be found.
  • By the time he registered what was happening, the barrel of the gun was already pressed against his forehead.
  • In an instant, the bald man was drenched in cold sweat.
  • He was just about to speak when, with a resounding bang, a bullet tore through the back of his head. His sturdy body crashed to the ground.
  • Billy's heart was filled with extreme fear after he processed what had just happened. He then shouted in terror, “Attack him!”
  • Jaziel was ghostly.
  • No sooner had the words left his mouth than Billy felt a surge of pain in his throat.
  • A sharp cracking sound rang out, and Billy's neck had been brutally twisted and broken.
  • Casually, Jaziel tossed Billy onto the ground.
  • In the courtyard, there were about a dozen of Billy's subordinates. However, within five minutes, they had all been transformed into corpses.
  • After wiping his palms with a damp tissue, Jaziel pulled out his phone to call Sean. “Billy and his subordinates have been taken care of completely. I'm leaving the aftermath for you to handle. By the way, send another car to pick me up. I can't hail a taxi in this place.”
  • Sean simply responded, “All right.”
  • Every instruction given by Jaziel was carried out to the letter.
  • However, if one listened carefully, one could detect a slight tremor in Sean's voice.
  • Sean had done his research on Billy's influence. Among his subordinates, there were many who were exceptionally skilled, even while living on the edge. At that moment, they were all dead. True to being chosen by Mr. Nalitch, this man is as terrifying as Mr. Nalitch himself.
  • When Jaziel stepped out of the estate, Kayla emerged from the darkness, her voice trembling slightly as she asked, “A-Are you all right?”
  • Just a moment ago, she had indeed heard the sound of a gunshot.
  • “I'm all right. Let's get going. Someone will be here to pick us up soon,” Jaziel said.
  • Kayla gave a nod.
  • At the same time, subconsciously, a glance was cast toward the interior of the estate.
  • Under the glow of the light, she could vaguely make out bodies sprawled haphazardly on the ground. Her face involuntarily turned deathly pale.
  • Kayla couldn't help but ask, “Have you learned combat arts before?”
  • Jaziel pulled out a cigarette and silently lit it up. “I know a bit.”
  • “Was it you who fired that shot just now?”
  • “No.” Jaziel shook his head.
  • “Does that mean the shooter tried to shoot you, but he missed? What exactly is your line of work?”
  • “An unemployed vagabond, fresh out of prison,” Jaziel answered.
  • Kayla didn't press on with her questions.
  • At that moment, the headlights of a car swept over.
  • Before long, two cars came to a halt in front of Jaziel and Kayla.
  • Sean stepped out after opening the car door.
  • A hint of surprise was subtly revealed when Sean saw that Jaziel was accompanied by a beautiful woman.
  • Immediately after, Sean said, “Mr. Jaziel, you should head back in the car first. Leave the matters here to me to handle.”
  • “All right.” Jaziel settled into the car and promptly drove off.
  • Billy, the prominent figure in Cadrexia, disappeared without a trace after that night.
