Chapter 11 Are You Ethan
- Just as Jaziel stepped out of the museum, he received a call from his uncle, Timothy.
- “Jaziel, I saw everything that happened in the museum earlier. You actually offended Billy. Do you have a death wish, young man? I would advise you to leave Cadrexia immediately and lie low. Billy's influence is beyond what you can possibly imagine.”
- Timothy spoke in an exasperated tone over the phone.
- However, Jaziel couldn't help but scratch his head.
- He had forgotten that Timothy was also in the museum.
- It seemed necessary to have Sean investigate Billy to find out Billy's origins. Once everything was clear, Jaziel would deal with Billy thoroughly.
- “Uncle Timothy, rest assured, I will take care of it,” said Jaziel.
- “How are you going to do that? What will you use to resolve it? Your life?”
- On the phone, Timothy's voice had risen a few decibels, clearly sounding rather annoyed.
- Jaziel's tone, however, was very calm when he replied, “Uncle Timothy, you can rest assured. I'm not a child anymore. Moreover, Billy isn't anything special. One of these days, I'll pay him a visit and have a word with him. I'm sure he'll be receptive to what I have to say.”
- “What?” Timothy was so frustrated that he almost threw his phone. “Who do you think you are? I reckon you're just a reckless kid.”
- Upon hearing the voice from the phone, Vivian couldn't help but interject, “Jaziel, this time, please listen to my father. Billy is not someone you can afford to mess with.”
- With a bitter smile, Jaziel had no choice but to say, “Uncle Timothy, truth be told, it was I who led the assault on Damian at Cloudview Club that day. It was also I who forbade Caleb and the others from contacting Vivian. Rest assured, I can deal with Billy.”
- “Shut up!” On the phone, Timothy was thoroughly enraged. “Do you really think I'd believe you, given who you are? You seem to have no problem making grand claims. I've said all I have to say. Take it or leave it. If you're hell-bent on courting death, we can't stop you.”
- With that, the call abruptly ended.
- Jaziel gave a nonchalant shrug. I'm being nothing but honest. Why won't people believe me?
- Meanwhile, Timothy, accompanied by Vivian and Sophie, left the museum.
- That day, Caleb was nowhere to be found, which left Timothy quite frustrated.
- Jaziel made a phone call to Sean and asked, “Can you look it up for me? What's Billy's background?”
- Even though he claimed to not care who Billy was, Jaziel couldn't allow such a potential threat to linger.
- “I know Billy. He's a prominent figure in the underground circles of Cadrexia. Damian is his subordinate. This individual is notorious for his atrocious acts, ruthless and merciless. The number of lives he has taken is unknown,” Sean reported.
- “Find out where he is tonight. I need to have a talk with him,” said Jaziel.
- “All right,” Sean responded quite straightforwardly.
- Meanwhile, Jaziel hailed a taxi on the side of the road. “Sir, to Lakefield Estates.”
- The driver couldn't help but steal another glance at Jaziel. Unexpectedly, this plain-looking young man is actually living in the most luxurious residential area in Cadrexia. I really shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
- As soon as he returned to the entrance of the residential area, Jaziel stepped out of the taxi.
- Since entering the residential area required visitor vehicles to register, a rather tedious process, Jaziel decided not to have the taxi drop him off inside the residential area.
- Just as he stepped out of the taxi, an SUV drove up to meet him head-on.
- The SUV came to a halt, and a head emerged from the car window. It turned out to be Selina.
- That day, Selina was sporting a ponytail and was dressed in a simple white short-sleeved shirt. Her attire was modest, yet it radiated an air of effortless coolness.
- “Jaziel, why are you here?” Selina looked at Jaziel with a hint of surprise.
- “I actually live here,” said Jaziel.
- The surprise in Selina's eyes deepened. “Which unit do you live in?”
- “I live in No. 9 Mansion.”
- Selina's expression instantly cooled when she heard Jaziel's words. “Jaziel, your name isn't Ethan, is it?”
- Selina clearly remembered that No. 9 Mansion was the home of King of Special Forces, Hawk.
- Jaziel claimed he lived in No. 9 Mansion, which was clearly nothing but nonsense.
- Initially, she felt a great deal of sympathy for Jaziel. However, upon witnessing her former classmate's transformation into such a pretentious man, she couldn't help but start to feel disappointed.
- Jaziel just stared at Selina, dumbfounded. What's wrong with her? Her words make no sense.
- Upon seeing the dazed look on Jaziel's face, Selina assumed that his lie had been exposed, leaving him utterly embarrassed.
- Hence, she shook her head and said, “I own No. 13 Mansion. If you encounter any difficulties here, feel free to reach out to me.”
- With that, she immediately drove off into the distance.
- Jaziel was somewhat speechless. Are people these days always this strange?
- He shook his head and started walking toward the mansion. Thankfully, over the past few days, the security guard had become familiar with Jaziel and promptly saluted him.
- “Welcome home, esteemed homeowner,” the security guard said.
- Had Selina witnessed this scene, she would have known that Jaziel was not lying.
- That evening, Jaziel received a call from Sean.
- “Mr. Jaziel, Billy has gone to Dream Bar. What should be our next move?”
- “All right. I understand. Don't worry about anything else,” Jaziel said.
- After hanging up the phone, Jaziel stretched lazily.
- After dealing with Billy, Jaziel wanted to investigate who exactly was responsible for his confinement in Fourth Prison all those years ago.
- It was important to note that Fourth Prison was a place that housed the most dangerous and heinous individuals. Jaziel ended up there simply because he had injured a scion. The whole situation was eerily odd.
- Jaziel was certain that the scion's family didn't have the power to pull off such a move.
- Silas had promised Jaziel to look into the matter once he was out, but there was still no news.
