Chapter 11 He Is Here
- Meanwhile, in Jordan Hartman’s office at the Hartman Group building...
- “Mr. Hartman, I’ve just received news that Ms. Addison was attacked in a florist shop by the owner and another man. She wants you there now.”
- Jordan frowned when he heard that.
- The owner of the florist?
- A man?
- There was only one person he could think of.
- Jordan’s face darkened, and his voice turned cold.
- “It’s definitely Bruce Jameson! He sure has a lot of guts to try and hurt my fiancée! Let’s hunt him down,” he ordered.
- “Yes, Sir!”
- Meanwhile, at the florist’s...
- Kaitlyn had long since calmed down, but the mess in the shop made her heart go cold.
- The years of hard work have gone down the drain in just seconds.
- As she thought of that, her temper flared, turning her eyes bloodshot red.
- Two hours passed in a blink.
- Just then, a luxurious Maybach appeared at the entrance of the florist, and Winter stood up in excitement.
- “Jordan’s here!”
- Bruce and Kaitlyn looked up with a start.
- At that moment, Jordan alighted from the car, followed by a dozen of his bodyguards.
- Kaitlyn’s face fell when she saw him.
- She had met him on a few occasions before, and they were nothing more but just acquaintances.
- Besides, she could never compare to his fiancée.
- Winter’s eyes were already brimming with tears as she rushed over to Jordan’s side. “You’re finally here, Jordan!” she sniffled. “That Bruce Jameson almost strangled me to death! He doesn’t care that I’m your fiancée... you must do something about this!”
- Jordan glanced at the floor, which was covered in debris from broken pots and squashed flowers, before looking at Winter with a frown.
- There was indeed a suspiciously large and dark bruise on her neck.
- Jordan then squinted at the man standing beside Kaitlyn.
- That man looked like a gentleman, yet it was just a façade for the bloodthirsty beast he really was.
- Huh, interesting.
- “Not bad, Mr. Jameson,” Jordan said calmly. “Care to explain why you hurt her?”
- Winter latched her hands onto his arm. “Jordan, I need your help! He’s so disrespectful towards women!”
- Looking at her fiancé’s reaction, she was overjoyed.
- He’s avenging me!
- Looks like he still loves me...
- Puffing out her chest, Winter turned to the bodyguards standing behind Jordan and ordered, “What are you waiting for? Trash the shop!”
