Today was Kaitlyn’s first visit to her parents’ home ever since she got married. Bruce’s unexpected presence was an unpleasant surprise, but she was not going to let it affect her.
He had already returned everything he owed her. There were no debts or scores left to settle between them and as such, she did not need to feel any lingering sorrow for him. Bruce was just someone who drifted apart from her, nothing more.
Seeing that Kaitlyn had grown quietly subdued, Jordan nodded soundlessly. He personally opened the door for her and helped her down, the two little ones following closely behind her.
