Chapter 34 The Second Trial
- At the scene of the second trial, Trevor sat in the plaintiff's seat, dressed entirely in black, as if to emphasize to Harold that Stephen had passed away.
- Mr. Ziegler sat next to Trevor, a stack of thick files laid out in front of him. Once presented to the judge, these documents would be enough to convict Harold.
- Harold sat in the defendant's seat, dressed in prison clothes, with shackles on his hands and feet. His chin was covered with a grayish beard. Since he was put in prison, he had lost his previous meticulousness. Harold hung his head low, his eyes fixed on his wrists.
