Chapter 58

• The entire day, Freya avoided Dante as if he were a plaque. She made sure to finish up and hurried out of the company before something else unfortunate happens. Today, she was so emotionally, mentally, psychologically and sexually exhausted. If not for considering her self-control, she might as well have jumped on the next available man to get to fulfil her desires. What was she saving and guiding what she thought was precious to her when she could lose it to the wrong person? Alcohol and a man or a movie in exchange for a man would do the trick of de-stressing her. After all, she was more used to being alone than having someone around.
• Gathering her bag in one hand, she hailed a cab out front and headed home to change her outfit. Due to the entire commotion, Freya had forgotten to change her sneakers. She made use of it the entire day instead of the heels she brought, and no one noticed. What a tense day.
• A quiet long drive and the cab was in front of her house. She paid and proceeded to her doorstep where she met flowers of all kinds, chocolate boxes and a handwritten note. Struggling to keep the things she came back from falling, she bent and grabbed the note.
