Chapter 9 Who Dares To Touch My Man

  • Raelyn's man?
  • Leopard couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, and the waitstaff in Ray Bar, upon looking at Dominic again, couldn't help but have a sudden realization.
  • Now they finally understood why the lady boss always took Dominic into the room for an hour each time. So that was the truth. It seemed that they would have to change how they addressed him in the future. They couldn't call him “Dom” anymore and might have to address him as “Mr. Dominic”!
  • Dominic observed the changing expressions of the surrounding waitstaff and couldn't help but rub his nose. Well, I think it's probably impossible for me to explain things clearly now.
  • A sinister glint flashed in Leopard's eyes. “Raelyn, you're pushing me to this.” He barked at a burly man standing next to him, “Brad, get him!” At his command, the burly man, Brad, darted toward Dominic with lightning speed.
  • Raelyn snorted coldly. “I'd like to see who dares!”
  • Suddenly, Raelyn's demeanor changed drastically. Without a word, she grabbed a wine bottle from the table next to her and hurled it directly at Brad's head.
  • Bang!
  • With a crisp sound, the wine bottle shattered directly on Brad's head. A gash split open on his scalp, and blood flowed down his cheek like a waterfall.
  • Brad's body swayed on the spot, eventually succumbing to weakness and collapsing onto the ground...
  • As for Ray Bar's waitstaff, they, too, had all drawn their weapons, standing poised and ready against Leopard's gang. With stern voices, they barked, “Nobody moves!”
  • After Leopard saw his own subordinate taken down in a single move, the muscles on his face couldn't help but twitch.
  • Everyone said that Raelyn was a formidable woman, and it seemed her reputation was indeed well-deserved.
  • Leopard didn't bring many people with him that day. Ray Bar was Raelyn's territory. Although Leopard wanted to make a move, he didn't have the guts. “Raelyn, you're ruthless. You can protect him for a while, but can you protect him for a lifetime? I'll remember today's score... You hurt my subordinate... Hmph! Let's see how you explain it to Mr. Vaughn!”
  • As his words fell, Leopard called out to his men. Together, they lifted Brad, and in the blink of an eye, they disappeared from the bar.
  • When Dominic heard Vaughn's name, his eyebrows twitched involuntarily. Mr. Vaughn? Could it be the same person Dad had mentioned to me?
  • However, Dominic didn't say much. After Leopard had left, it was only then that Dominic turned to Raelyn and asked, “Raelyn, will there be any trouble for having a feud with Leopard?”
  • Raelyn turned her head toward Dominic and gave him a slight smile. “No worries! Besides, if it means offending Leopard for my man, it's worth it, right? Buddies, wouldn't you agree?”
  • The surrounding waitstaff hurriedly expressed their respect, “Absolutely, Raelyn has a keen eye! Mr. Dominic is a distinguished gentleman and a good person, too. He and Raelyn are indeed a perfect match!”
  • “Indeed, Mr. Dominic is great!”
  • “Mr. Dominic is wonderful!”
  • As Dominic listened to the surrounding waitstaff addressing him, a sheepish expression crossed his face. “All right, all right. Everyone's wonderful!” Somehow, he had inexplicably become Raelyn's man. Ah, this... Gosh!
  • Raelyn looked at Dominic's foolish appearance and burst into laughter. “All right, you little rascal! Your silliness is the reason I like you. Come on. Let me introduce you to a few people!”
  • Raelyn affectionately reached out and took hold of Dominic's wrist, leading him wordlessly toward a private room on the second floor of the elegant establishment.
  • Initially, Dominic had intended to refuse, but considering that his family owned a mine, he knew he would inevitably have to engage in some major business deals in the future. It would be beneficial to get acquainted with several big bosses so Dominic did not reject the offer.
  • In the private room on the second floor, several portly bosses were elegantly sipping their drinks and chatting. The door to the room opened, and upon seeing Raelyn, a man adorned with a large gold chain smiled and asked her, “Ms. Xenos, has the matter downstairs been resolved?”
  • Raelyn chuckled. “This little matter is not worth mentioning! Now, let me introduce someone to you all, gentlemen. This is Dominic, my man!”
  • It was a simple statement, but it left the men in the private room agape in surprise. “Good heavens,” they exclaimed. “Ms. Xenos, pure and irreproachable, has finally found a man after all these years?”
  • “What a marvel! Come, come, young man, sit over here, sit over here! Hurry and share with us your experiences in wooing the ladies!”
  • “Haha, exactly, exactly!”
  • The bosses instantly became curious and greeted Dominic, while Raelyn introduced them to Dominic from the side, “This is Mr. Yancey, who is in real estate. This is Mr. Zimmer, who owns a hotel, and this is Mr. Wendt, whose family owns a coal mine...”
  • Dominic greeted them one by one. Although somewhat nervous, he managed quite well.
  • After everyone exchanged pleasantries, the conversation naturally flowed.
  • The coal mine tycoon pulled out a document from his briefcase. “Gentlemen, let's get back to our previous discussion. Who wants to buy my failing courier company? I really don't understand the ins and outs of that business, and it's been losing money... The original price was twelve million, and now it's down to ten million. Just ten million, and whoever wants it can take it. We can sign the contract immediately...”
  • Ian Yancey shook his head. “Kenneth, let's forget about this. You've already said it's running at a loss. Don't drag us down with you!”
  • Fred Zimmer also waved his hand. “Don't look at me. I've just invested in two projects, and ten million is not a small sum!”
  • Kenneth Wendt glanced around at the five or six individuals present, but not a single one was willing to accept his proposal. With a somewhat dispirited demeanor, he prepared to take back the contract. “Well, if I had known, I wouldn't have bought that company in the first place!”
  • The front page of the contract slightly wavered before Dominic's eyes. Suddenly, he saw a few words on it that read: Grand Express. Wasn't that the very company he was working for?
