• “Reid, where are you?”
• As Ella strolls down the poorly lit hallway, she looks around anxiously for Reid. He had been gone from the room for at least a few hours and still hadn’t returned. As Ella tries to hold back the tears about to fall, she is overcome with restlessness. Lost and confused, she walked around the grand mansion’s maze-like hallways. She had trouble remembering which part of the enormous mansion she was exploring; she had become confused. Her unquenchable need to find Reid was like a fever that wouldn’t subside until their paths met again.
• A room’s door caught Ella’s eye since it differed from the others. She firmly grasped the doorknob, ready to turn it and expose what was beyond. As Ella cautiously pushed the door, a creaking sound resounded down the otherwise silent corridor; she had heard the doorknob click.
