• A short while later, Rose looked up in surprise as the imposing figure of Alejandro appeared in the doorway of the Accounting department. Despite his fierce countenance, Valerie had made it clear he was simply her new executive assistant.
• "Excuse me, Miss White?" His deep voice cut through the ambient office chatter. "Mrs. Donovan requires your assistance with something, if you're available."
