Valerie followed Victoria Wyndham into the CEO's opulent corner office, the click of her heels echoing against the polished marble floors. Alejandro remained a silent, watchful presence by her side, his eyes scanning the room with a practiced gaze.
As they stepped inside, Victoria gestured for Valerie to take a seat across from her grand mahogany desk. "Please sit down, Miss Ashford," she said warmly.
Valerie perched on the edge of the plush leather chair, her spine straight and her expression composed. "The pleasure is all mine, Ms. Wyndham. I see you have done an exceptional job keeping the ship afloat."
