• Valerie was attempting to acclimate herself to the office computer systems on her first day as a manager at Ashford Group when a figure plopped itself down brazenly on the edge of her desk. She looked up in surprise to find a leggy blonde wearing a skin-tight dress and towering red stilettos appraising her with undisguised disdain.
• "Amber Sinclair," the woman stated flatly, making no effort to extend her hand in greeting.
