Chapter 10 Couples Should Be Honest With Each Other

  • "Grandpa, are you pressuring me?" Rachel's eyes flickered, and a cold smile appeared on her lips.
  • "I wouldn't say I'm pressuring you, but we've reached a dead end. I've consulted many renowned doctors for Jonathan's leg, but each time, it ended in disappointment. If we continue like this, I'm afraid Jonathan himself would want to give up."
  • "He's not that fragile."
  • "What?"
  • Rachel couldn't be certain about everything, but from her brief encounter with Jonathan, she didn't believe that this man was mentally fragile.
  • Moreover, how could the man she married be weak?
  • Her eyes brightened, and she said to Philip, "Regardless of the outcome, even if it comes to amputation, he will definitely be able to endure it. Otherwise, Grandpa, you wouldn't have such high hopes for him, right?"
  • It was evident that Philip cared deeply about Jonathan. Despite the presence of others in the Fullers, Philip still held onto hope despite Jonathan's leg condition. There must be something extraordinary about him.
  • He couldn't be easily defeated.
  • Philip suddenly realized that Rachel might be able to reach Jonathan's heart. She saw things more clearly than others. Although she didn't match Jonathan in terms of appearance, she was intelligent and not as foolish as she seemed.
  • A smile gradually appeared on his wrinkled face.
  • "I'll leave Jonathan in your hands."
  • "I will do my best."
  • "Don't worry about Fiona and Gina. Those two girls have been spoiled." Philip felt the need to explain to Rachel. After all, his grandson's future now rested in her hands.
  • "Alright, Philip, rest assured. I'll leave now."
  • Rachel left the study, and the polite smile on her face gradually faded. This family is made up of a group of actors, each playing their own roles.
  • Philip appeared polite, but if she couldn't cure Jonathan, she probably wouldn't be able to leave the house at all.
  • Alistair had already finished gathering information and returned to the room.
  • "Mr. Fuller, I've found out that the madam did study medicine, but only for a short period of time at an ordinary medical school. After that, her whereabouts are unknown."
  • The result didn't surprise Jonathan. Judging from her needle placement and technique, she seemed capable.
  • However, the renowned doctors outside couldn't cure him. Can this girl do it?
  • But the problem was, this girl only gave him two acupuncture sessions, and he could actually feel a slight sensation just now, although it wasn't very obvious.
  • He always felt that this girl was not ordinary. If she were just an ordinary doctor, she wouldn't have made him feel something so quickly.
  • "You're saying that there's no information about what happened afterward?"
  • "Yes, there's nothing after that."
  • Jonathan's gaze was conflicted. "That means there's still a problem. Keep investigating, dig deep, and find out for me!"
  • Alistair nodded. "Yes."
  • At that moment, the door was pushed open, and Rachel stood at the doorway without avoiding eye contact, with a calm expression on her face.
  • "Are you talking about me?"
  • Alistair coughed awkwardly. Wasn't it common to automatically avoid such situations? This newlywed bride was truly different.
  • Jonathan narrowed his eyes. "You heard everything?"
  • Rachel pushed the door open, closed it again, and walked up to Alistair, taking his documents.
  • "This..."
  • "Don't worry, it's nothing to be ashamed of. It's normal to want to investigate me, but if you have doubts, you can just ask me directly." She sat on the edge of the bed, reached out, and held Jonathan's arm. "We're husband and wife now, so we should be honest with each other, right?"
