Chapter 10 She Grabs My Children Away

  • Naomi's POV:
  • Living as a Rogue was much harder than being part of the Bluemoon Pack. Not only did I have to fend for myself, but I also had to be on guard against constant threats from other Rogues.
  • After Daphne told me about the child, she disappeared again. With no way to contact her or depend on her, things became even tougher for me.
  • Luckily, I came across an old, abandoned apartment in the border area between werewolves and humans.
  • It was falling apart and seemed deserted like it was set to be demolished, but I didn't have the luxury to be picky.
  • At least I had a roof over my head. I'd deal with eviction when the time came.
  • Surviving took all my energy; going to the Werewolf Ivy League University wasn't even a possibility.
  • Daphne had mentioned the baby was a gift from the Moon Goddess, though I couldn't see why a lowly Rogue's child would be a gift. Still, I would raise and care for the child since it was from her.
  • By day, I hid my striking looks and worked as an ordinary werewolf waitress. By night, I spent whatever I earned on good food, cooking nutritious meals for the baby growing inside me.
  • Slowly, my belly grew, and I saved up a little money for my child's future.
  • When I reached the ninth month, my belly was noticeably bigger than most women at the same stage.
  • One evening, after cleaning up and wondering if I should visit the werewolf clinic the next day, a sharp pain shot through my stomach, followed by a warm liquid between my legs.
  • My amniotic water broke—the baby was coming sooner than expected!
  • The pain intensified, leaving me barely able to stand. I crawled to the narrow bed, taking deep breaths to relax.
  • The contractions came fast, and there was no time to get to the clinic. I would have to give birth to the baby alone.
  • Thankfully, all the books I'd read on childbirth were about to pay off.
  • As the pain grew stronger, I couldn't hold back my cries, channeling all my strength into pushing my lower abdomen.
  • Sweat dripped down my face as I finally delivered the baby. His small cry filled the room as he came to the world.
  • But before I could joyfully hold him, the door burst open with a crash.
  • I looked up in shock—Noelle was standing there with a smug look.
  • "Noelle? What are you doing here—ah!"
  • I gasped as another contraction hit. Moments later, a second baby was born.
  • "I'm right on time, aren't I?" Noelle sneered, picking up the newborns, both still covered in blood. "Just in time to collect my sister's dirty little brats."
  • My heart pounded with fear as she held my babies. "What are you doing? Give them back!"
  • Though weak from childbirth, I tried to stand, desperate to grab my children.
  • Noelle hated me so much—my babies wouldn't be safe with her.
  • Dodging my attempt, she stepped back. "You disgraced the Northcutts by mixing with a lowly Rogue and birthing these brats. I'm responsible for eliminating you all!"
  • "I've been cast out of the Bluemoon Pack and cut all ties with the Northcutts. These babies are mine and have nothing to do with your family! Leave us alone!"
  • I tried again to stand, but Noelle's kick sent me crashing to the ground.
  • Groaning in pain, I curled up as darkness clouded my vision. My ribs throbbed where she had struck me.
  • "Even if you've been disowned, your blood is still the Northcutts. These two brats carry it too! Having Rogue blood in them is a stain on our family. You all shouldn't exist!" she spat.
  • As I regained some strength, I noticed the overpowering smell of gasoline. My eyes widened in horror—Noelle was pouring gasoline around the room.
  • "What are you doing?" I gasped.
  • "Burn you alive!"
  • "No!"
  • I stumbled to my feet. But before I could stop her, she tossed a lit lighter onto the ground.
  • Boom!
  • A roaring flame erupted, trapping me where I stood.
  • Powerless, I could only watch as she left with my babies.
  • My voice broke as I screamed through the fire, "Noelle, they're innocent! Please spare them!"
