Chapter 4 Visiting Kenn

• In the evening, two people appeared at the hospital.
• They did not look like visitors. Instead, they looked like they were there to kill someone.
• One of them was over seven feet tall, and his body rippled with muscles. He looked as though he was forged from iron.
• His nickname was Anvil, and he was one of Nix's most trusted subordinates.
• The other individual was barely five feet tall. Her frail build was like a child, but she carried the demeanor of a cold-blooded assassin.
• In truth, her ruthlessness made even Anvil afraid of her.
• Her nickname was Vice, and she was also one of Nix's most trusted subordinates.
• Once they had received Nix's orders, they rushed toward Southvane as fast as they could.
• When Nix was talking to the two, a nurse came to Nix. She carefully stepped past Anvil and Vice and handed Nix a phone.
• "Mr. Jeager? Someone is looking for you."
• Nix wondered who it was. He answered the call.
• "Hello?"
• "Hey, you're Nix, right? I'm Kenn! You killed three of my men and humiliated my wife and brother-in-law, right? I haven't seen you for five years, and you're still as gutsy as ever. Now, I want you to listen clearly to every word I say! Tonight is my father's birthday party, and I'll be formally proposing to Whitney. I'd like to extend my mercy on this happy occasion. Know that this is the only chance I'm giving you! Come to the entrance, be on your knees, and apologize until I'm satisfied. If you can do that, I'll spare your worthless life. Otherwise, I'll get three men to take turns and violate your little sister in front of you and make your equally worthless parents eat sh*t!"
• Nix clenched his fists. The phone creaked and was almost crushed to bits.
• "Of course. I'll be there on time," Nix said.
• Kenn chuckled. "You'd better be. Otherwise… Oh, right, I forgot to tell you about that poor woman you violated five years ago. You don't know she gave birth to a b*stard child for you, right? If you want her and her child to be safe, you'd better treasure this opportunity I give you."
• A bomb went off in Nix's head. I have a child!
• He could never forgive himself for violating an innocent woman five years ago. He vaguely remembered that the woman was very beautiful. She was at the prime of her life…
• That woman's face had appeared in countless dreams and nightmares, which tormented Nix greatly. He did not expect that she had given birth to a child for him.
• He wondered how much that woman had suffered for giving birth to an illegitimate child!
• As much as he felt guilty for the woman's fate, the conversation also strengthened his resolve for killing Kenn.
• Kenn must die for what he did to my family and that woman!
• After the call ended, he said to Luna, "Investigate the woman I had harmed five years ago. Do it as quickly as you can."
• Time passed in the blink of an eye. Soon, it was night.
• Nix's parents and family had been sleeping for the whole day. They had been through a lot throughout the past week.
• Luna returned from her mission and reported to Nix. "We haven't found anything about the woman you requested. I've already increased the personnel on the mission, and we should be getting answers very soon. Also, the first wave of our members has arrived. I've asked eight of them to come along with us, and the others are stationed around the hospital awaiting orders."
• Nix nodded. He looked at his watch to see that it was already seven o'clock. Kenn's father's birthday party and his engagement party should be starting soon.
• As Nix stood up, his mother suddenly screamed out in her dreams, "No! Don't hurt my daughter! Please stop! I beg you!"
• She was in a nightmare. As she screamed desperately, she waved her arms wildly. Even though her eyes were closed, tears streamed down her face.
• Nix felt as though his heart was stabbed by a knife. He immediately held his mother's hands. "You're safe now, Mother. We're all safe now. Don't be afraid."
• Martha eventually calmed down and fell into a deep sleep.
• Nix's murderous intent appeared in his eyes once more. He tucked his mother in and left the room.
• "I leave my family's safety in your hands, Luna. No one can step into this room."
• "If anyone wants to harm your family, they'll have to step over my dead body," Luna said solemnly.
• "Anvil, have you prepared the leash?" Nix asked.
• "Yes, Mr. Jaeger," Anvil said.
• "Very well. Let's go to crash the party, pluck out Kenn's tongue in front of his entire family, and lead him away like a dog!"
• As Nix stepped down the corridor, Anvil and Vice followed behind him like shadows.
• The three people headed toward Kenn's uncle's mansion in Anvil's Toyota Prado.
