• The police officers brought Nix into the police station and sat him in an interrogation room.
• The way the police officers escorted Nix was as though Nix was an honored guest. After Nix sat down, the police officers brought him a cup of freshly-brewed coffee and a plate of fresh fruit.
• Nix was enjoying the best treatment the police station could afford, but the police officers were still worried he might be offended. After all, the extent of Nix's influence could make them lose their jobs at the drop of a hat.
