• I waved at Isabella and her team as they departed into the woods. I let out a deep breath, wondering what sort of friendship she had started building with Mike.
• Well, she gave reasonable excuses to choose his pack over mine, but I really didn't believe those were the real reasons. They sounded like flimsy excuses. Brenda could be controlled. Isabella can control Brenda if I give her the permission to do so. She knew what she was up to, but I didn't exactly know it.
