• I stepped into my office about an hour after I was done making love to Maddie. Despite the time that had passed, I couldn't shake off the ill feeling that was dancing within me. A part of me desperately wanted to go back in there and ask her if she had enjoyed making love to me.
• Honestly, it was hard to know. She had been full of loud moans while I made love to her but when I had pulled away from her, I never saw the trace of a happy, pleased woman. Instead, she looked ashy and terrible, with tears playing at the corners of her eyes.
