• I flung myself into Adrian's wide arms, not believing what I was seeing. Who would have thought that I would be seeing him at this function? It had been years since I last saw him and for what it was worth, he was one of the few werewolves who had ever treated me with respect.
• He had defended me and served as the big brother I never had. He had helped me find myself and even given me the chance at love. It was too bad that Jason just had to mess things up.
