Chapter 1 Mystic Medical Secret Arts

  • “Gorgeous, are you sure I don't need to wear a cover?”
  • “Yes, I'm sure.”
  • “I think it's better that I put it on before I enter. Simply going in like this doesn't feel quite right.”
  • “Quit talking and come in already!”
  • “All right, then. I'm coming in!”
  • At the entrance of a residence located in a high-end neighborhood in Ackleton, Clusia, a young man, clad in maintenance worker attire, was holding shoe covers in his hand while speaking with a provocatively dressed young woman.
  • He couldn't help but sneak glances at her breasts. They're so fair and firm. Even a fly would meet its end if it fell into her cleavage.
  • The young woman led Elio Leaffe into her home, saying, “There's an issue with the plumbing in my bathroom. Could you take a look for me?”
  • At that moment, she finally noticed Elio's wandering gaze. She quickly covered her ample bosom, and with a frustrated tone, she exclaimed, “You b*stard, where are you looking?”
  • “They're so fair... Huh? Wait a minute! What did you just say? What's broken?” Elio snapped back to reality.
  • “You!”
  • The young woman pursed her lips. This b*stard is a pervert!
  • “I said the pipes in the bathroom are broken. Hurry up and fix them! If you keep staring, I'll file a complaint!” the young woman sternly warned.
  • “No, no, I'm on it!”
  • Upon hearing that this woman intended to lodge a complaint against him, Elio hastily headed toward the bathroom.
  • As he reached the door, he instinctively pulled out an old, yellowed book from his pocket. The cover bore four simple words—Mystic Medical Secret Arts.
  • “Granddad, on your deathbed, you told me to thoroughly study this book. You promised it would lead to great success, the pinnacle of life, and marriage to a wealthy and beautiful woman. Yet here I am, still single, working as a humble maintenance worker.”
  • With a sigh, Elio shook his head and walked into the bathroom.
  • He pulled out the pliers and forcefully twisted the screws on the water pipe, seemingly venting his frustrations.
  • Unexpectedly, the water pipe was far too old, and it burst open under his effort.
  • The surging water propelled a section of the pipe, striking his head with force.
  • With a muffled thud, Elio collapsed unconscious on the ground.
  • The ancient book he had in his pocket was also soaked through by the water on the ground.
  • At that moment, the ancient book began to shimmer with a dazzling light, which quickly enveloped Elio's entire body.
  • After falling unconscious, Elio seemed to have entered a space shrouded in mist, akin to a place straight out of a fairy tale.
  • However, his body seemed to be bound by some force, leaving him utterly unable to move.
  • “What is this place?”
  • As he stood there, stunned and surprised, an incredibly captivating female voice reached his ears. “My destined one, you've finally arrived.”
  • Destined one? Whose voice is that?
  • Elio was still in a daze when he saw a woman floating toward him like a fairy. She was dressed in a white dress, her feet bare.
  • The woman's appearance and figure could only be described as breathtakingly stunning.
  • For a moment, Elio was utterly spellbound. “Who are you?”
  • “Destined one, my name is Yvette Langley. Five hundred years ago, I was a revered Mystic Medic. However, I was betrayed by my enemies and my body was submerged in the river. I've been waiting for the arrival of my destined one, and today, you've finally arrived!”
  • “Hold on, what did you say? Yvette Langley? Why does that name sound so familiar to me?”
  • After thinking carefully for a moment, Elio wore an expression of disbelief on his face. Isn't Yvette Langley the name of the author of the ancient book that I always carry with me?
  • “All right, we're running out of time. I'm about to pass on my inheritance to you. I hope you can carry on my mystical medical skills, master its essence, and achieve unparalleled success. Then, you can rescue my soul from Nether Lands and restore my true form. I will serve you well then...”
  • Having said that, Yvette appeared right next to Elio. With a blush spreading across her face, she straddled the lower part of Elio's body.
  • Elio's eyes widened in surprise.
  • She's passing on her inheritance to me in this manner?
  • Isn't this... how humans reproduce?
  • While passing on her skills, Yvette took Elio's virginity in this illusion.
  • At the same time, an endless stream of information surged into Elio's mind.
  • The following day, in a hospital ward, Elio abruptly woke up from a hospital bed.
  • “Darn it, so it was just a wet dream! Wait a minute? That's not right. Wasn't I knocked unconscious? How did I end up here?”
  • At that moment, a young nurse walked in and said, “You're finally awake. Here's the bill. You'll need to settle it.”
  • Elio took the bill and asked, “May I know who brought me here?”
  • “The property owner of the house where you were repairing the pipes called emergency services,” the nurse said before she promptly left.
  • Elio struggled to recall the incredibly vivid dream he had the previous night.
  • It was simply too realistic.
  • “Yvette Langley? Nether Lands? Mystic Medical Secret Arts...”
  • Elio's mind raced like a film reel, playing scenes of boundless medical knowledge and techniques.
  • “What on earth is going on here?” Elio muttered to himself, completely unable to make sense of everything.
  • Caught in the grip of his worries, Elio slammed his hand onto the wooden table. To his astonishment, the table split with a sharp crack.
  • He glanced at his own palm, then back at the table.
  • “That dream can't be real, can it? I have superhuman ability! Have I become a martial arts expert?” Elio exclaimed in surprise and delight.
  • Thinking back to the fairy from his dream last night, Elio made a silent pledge. He was resolved to find a way to rescue her from Nether Lands and restore her body.
  • After paying the medical bills at the payment counter, he only had a little over a hundred left.
  • He shook his head. Life is indeed a struggle!
  • Just then, his phone rang. It was his department head at the real estate company, Keith Escobar.
  • The ringing was insistent, stirring an unsettling premonition within Elio.
  • Sure enough, as soon as the call connected, a roar came from the other end.
  • “Elio, a complaint has been filed against you. You're fired!”
  • After that, the call was abruptly ended. Elio cursed under his breath, “D*mn, what's there to be so arrogant about? What a b*stard!”
  • Keith had been forming cliques within the company. He often found excuses to dock Elio's wages simply because he refused to treat him or give him gifts. Now that he had the chance, he went even further and fired him outright.
  • Elio couldn't help but sigh. He was now so broke that he couldn't even afford to pay his rent, not to mention he was jobless—it never rains but it pours.
  • Just then, there was a sudden commotion at the hospital entrance. A few orderlies dashed over, pushing a stretcher.
  • “Clear the way! There's been a car accident!”
  • “Hurry up! Hurry up!”
  • “Dad, you can't die! You have to hold on! Get out of my way!”
  • Several orderlies were shouting, while a stunning lady dressed in professional attire directly bumped into Elio.
  • Elio steadied himself. When he glanced at the man on the stretcher, his eyes narrowed slightly.
  • The man lying on the stretcher was none other than Kayden Ryton, the chairman of Ryton Estates Corporation where Elio worked.
